Everything you need to maintain lifelong oral health

A healthy mouth is essential to your overall wellbeing. Research shows clear links between oral health and wider conditions such as diabetes and heart disease, with untreated dental issues often making these conditions harder to manage.

Our general dentistry services are designed to protect your everyday oral health through a comprehensive range of preventive, diagnostic, and restorative treatments. We’re here to support you at every stage, helping you stay healthy, comfortable, and confident in your smile.

These include:

Routine Dental Examinations

During your check‑up, we take time to discuss any concerns you may have and may carry out imaging such as X‑rays or scans to help us assess your oral health fully. We carefully examine your teeth, gums, and the soft tissues of your mouth for any signs of disease.

If we identify anything that needs attention, we’ll talk you through your options and create a treatment plan that suits you. We always work at your pace — whether you prefer to move quickly or take things step by step.

Restorative Treatments

We offer a full range of restorative care to repair, protect, and enhance your teeth:

stag Fillings for broken or decayed teeth
stag Root canal treatment to remove infection from inside the tooth
stag Crowns and veneers to strengthen and improve the appearance of damaged teeth
stag Dentures to replace multiple missing teeth and restore function

Each treatment is tailored to your needs, ensuring long‑lasting comfort and natural‑looking results.

Hygiene Cleaning and Preventative Care

We assess your gum health and recommend the most appropriate clean based on your individual needs. During your visit, we’ll also chat through your daily oral care habits and offer simple, tailored advice to help you keep your mouth healthy between appointments.

Pain relief

We provide prompt, compassionate care to ease dental pain and restore your comfort as quickly as possible. Whether you’re experiencing a mild niggle or more intense discomfort, our team will assess your symptoms with care and recommend the most effective treatment.

If you have a large or spreading infection, your appointment will be prioritised as a matter of urgency, ensuring you receive immediate attention when you need it most.

Minor Oral Surgery

We will assess you gum health and suggest the most appropriate clean for your specific diagnosis. We will also discuss your current oral health care habits and make suggestions to improve your health.

stag Extractions of teeth or roots that cannot be restored
stag Abscess drainage to relieve pain and treat infection

Your comfort is always our priority, and we’ll guide you through every step of the process.

Nervous patients

Conscious sedation: Conscious sedation helps you feel calm and relaxed throughout your treatment while remaining awake and able to communicate. It’s a gentle, supportive option for patients who feel anxious, making dental care a more comfortable experience.

Dental Acupuncture: Dental acupuncture uses gentle, targeted techniques to ease anxiety, reduce gag reflex, and support overall comfort during treatment. It offers a natural, calming way to enhance your wellbeing while you receive dental care.

We strongly encourage regular check‑ups and hygiene appointments to keep your mouth healthy and to prevent problems before they develop. Consistent preventive care is the most effective way to avoid discomfort and reduce the need for more complex treatment in the future.

To make ongoing care simple and affordable, we invite patients to join our Denplan Essentials Membership, which provides convenient access to routine examinations and hygiene visits. For more details, please click here .

If you feel nervous or unsure about how to begin improving your oral health, we’re here to support you. You’re welcome to contact us or call 01709 363 500 to arrange an informal, pressure‑free chat with a member of our team.

For a dedicated conversation, please ask for our Practice Manager, Angela . These relaxed appointments take place in a private, non‑clinical space and offer a comfortable opportunity to ask questions, explore treatment options, and understand how we can help you move forward with confidence.

Bruxism

Teeth clenching and grinding

Patients often show signs of clenching and grinding, which our clinicians can identify during a dental examination. Bruxism can lead to a range of dental problems, including broken teeth, sensitivity, receding gums, and it can also contribute to headaches and migraines.

Treatment is usually a combination of therapies, which may include dental splints and dental acupuncture. At Stag Dental Care, we provide SCi splints from S4S, designed not only to protect the teeth and jaw from clenching and grinding habits but also to help break these habits over time. Dental acupuncture can further support relaxation of the jaw muscles and reduce tension‑related symptoms, offering a gentle, holistic addition to your care.

Please contact us for more information or to read about the SCi splint please click here .

If you would like to book in for a bruxism assessment please ask for and appointment with Dr Haniya Hasan.

Urgent NHS appointments (please see criteria listed above).

One before one!

We advise that every child should have at least one check up before their first birthday. This is so we can discuss what to expect with their development, their diet and tips on how to keep little mouths clean!

Kids under 5 go free!

We are pleased to be able to offer free check ups to children 5 and under. Bringing children regularly ensures that we become a friendly face and encourages children to have good dental habits. It builds their confidence so they are not overwhelmed if they ever do need to have treatment. The appointment includes free Fluoride varnish applications and a goodie bag.

Growing smiles, growing confidence!

Children aged 6–18 need steady support as their adult teeth develop and their bite changes. Regular check‑ups help us track alignment, strengthen enamel, and prevent issues before they start. This is also when brushing habits, diet choices, and confidence in dental visits really take hold, setting them up for a healthy smile into adulthood.

What about Braces?

Once adult teeth start erupting at 6 years old we like to continue to see them regularly to monitor the development of the adult teeth in the jaw. Regular appointments mean we can refer to the orthodontist at the correct time to ensure children who need braces can be assessed and referred promptly.

Child-friendly communication!

At Stag Dental Care we explain things in simple, positive language, use behaviour‑management techniques, and help nervous children feel safe. A calm, warm approach makes a huge difference to cooperation and long‑term dental confidence.

Stag Kid's Bags!

Every child will receive a free kids goodie bag with tips on keeping their mouth healthy, free toothpastes and a small gift. (while stocks last)
