Anything and everything to maintain good oral health.

The importance of a healthy mouth to a person’s general health has been highlighted many times over the years, from diabetes to heart disease, poor oral health can exacerbate other diseases.

We strongly recommend attending for regular check-ups and hygiene cleans before any problems arise in order to prevent pain and complicated procedures in the future.

If you are very nervous and are unsure how to go about improving your oral health, please call us on 01709 363 500 and we can arrange an informal chat with one of our team. Please ask to speak to our Manager Gemma, if you would like to arrange one of these. These chats occur in a separate private space to the dental surgeries and are an opportunity to ask any questions about our different treatments.

Periodontal treatment:

Gum disease (periodontitis) is the major cause of tooth loss and often does not present until it is quite advanced. Our Dentists and Therapists can diagnose gum disease and treat it early on so that it can either be reversed or stabilised. Our clinicians will help our patients with their own personalised cleaning and maintenance regime to ensure that gum disease is well controlled.

Dental Therapists

Our Dentists may refer you to our Therapists. Therapists work with the dentist to carry out certain aspects of treatment. Patients can also directly access Therapists for hygiene appointments and hygiene maintenance.

A dentist may refer a patient to the Therapist for fillings, treatment of periodontal diseases such as gingivitis and periodontitis and teeth whitening. If a patient is a member of a plan such as Denplan or our Stag Membership Plan their visits to the therapists are included in their maintenance plans.

Teeth straightening

C-fast

Fast, discreet and affordable orthodontics for adults

Invisalign

The very popular teeth straightening system is available at our practice.

Using the Itero scanner we can show you what your teeth can look like without taking messy impressions or waiting for an analysis of your teeth. When you book for an exam please mention if you are interested in having a digital scan. Also look out for our Digital Smile Open Days coming soon!

Implants

The ‘gold standard’ of replacing missing teeth, implants are placed into the jaw and allow you to eat and speak as if you had your natural teeth.

Bruxism

Teeth clenching and grinding

Patients often will have evidence of clenching and grinding in their mouth which our clinicians can see from a dental examination. Bruxism can cause a whole host of dental problems such as breaking teeth, sensitivity, receding gums and can also cause headaches and migraines. Treatment can be via a combination of therapies which can include dental splints. We provide SCi splints from S4S which work to not only protect your teeth and jaw from clenching and grinding habits but also to break these habits too.

Please contact us for more information or to read about the SCi splint please click here.

If you would like to book in for a bruxism assessment please ask for and appointment with Dr Haniya Hasan.
